Here are some books, documentaries, websites and YouTube channels that I have found to be helpful.
Websites
Vegan Reddit– I’ve been part of this online community for years now. It’s a great resource! Do a search and there are probably 100 answers for every question you could have about veganism. The “useful links and resources” are exactly that…useful. And there’s even a Vegan Discord channel.
Books
Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual by Michael Pollen
The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Meals In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan
Eat More, Weight Less by Dr. Dean Ornish
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell and Thomas M. Campbell II
Forks Over Knives: The Plant-Based Way to Health by Gene Stone
The End of Dieting: How to Live for Life by Joel Fuhrman (I’ve seen Dr. Fuhrman speak in person, it was awesome!)
Movies/Documentaries
You may notice that a few popular documentaries aren’t on this list, such as “Dominion” or “Earthlings.” While I grasp the importance of films such as these, I have personally wished many times that I could erase horrific images like those contained in these films from my memory. I can’t in good conscience recommend watching them unless you are prepared to be extremely sad/scarred for life.

YouTubers
Not all of these YouTubers follow a whole foods diet, but I still find value in their content.
Krocks in the Kitchen (they aren’t vegan, but do follow a WFPB diet)
